Screening Events are now Available Online

VOD and VR

Animation Nights New York launched an online video on demand (VOD) platform with a web based virtual reality platform (webXR) in December in 2020 in response to the COVID Pandemic. Each month we host our in competition screening events online for ONE DAY ONLY. We have had attendees from 4 continents and 33 countries around the world. Attendees register for online screening events the same way they register for our in person events. We send login credentials before the day of the event.

Virtual Screening Rooms

We set up a virtual screening room for each film in our program. This way we can have small groups watch films together. VR 360 content is also featured in rooms throughout the space. We will be partnering with a few studios this year to feature additional content. VR Headsets (HMDs) can be used but they are not necessary. Our online platform is accessible via both desktop (PC & MAC) and mobile devices.

 

VR Mixer Events with Video Chat

We host mixer events 3pm-5pm and 8pm-10pm Eastern Time on the same day as the screening event. Video materials have been added to our custom avatars and we have video chat because we all need an online alternative to Zoom!

 

 

Virtual Events Space

There are over 20 rooms to explore in our ANNY Virtual Events Space. We look forward to announcing ANNY Exchange talent connect networking events, this year. Sign up to our mailing list for the most updated information on upcoming online events. We intend to keep these online programs going even after we restart our in person screening events.

Upcoming Screening Event

Our next screening events, Program #62 “Not Alone”,  is scheduled for Sunday, July 25 11am-11pm Eastern Time. Registration opens July 5.

About ANNY: Animation Nights New York is a curated monthly screening event and annual festival first established in NYC in 2015. The event showcases animated short films and virtual reality animation experiences from all around the world and both project submission and admission to monthly screenings of in-competition films are free to the general public.
